Piet Retief Mica Paint & Hardware was first established in 1972 by the Hansen family and was then taken over by the Meyer family from Piet Retief. The business was finally taken over by the Niebuhr family in 1984 and is managed by brothers Leon and Ecki Niebuhr day to day. The store joined the Mica family in 1986, which it is proudly still part of today.
